Am I entitled to receive Unemployment?
answer

Each individual case is different, but the main element to consider when you contact Social Welfare in relation to payments is that they look at your contributions from 2 years previous. If you were paying A Class contributions through your employment for a minimum of 2 consecutive years, with a minimum of 39 weeks in your final year, you are likely to qualify for Jobseekers Benefit. If you were paying S Class contributions within this timeframe, you are entitled to apply for Jobseekers Allowance which is subject to a means test.
